What is the best way to give a Nine month old baby boy a hair cut?

my son does not sit still and is very active, but his hair is getting very long. What is the best way to give a Nine month old baby boy a hair cut?
My son loved baby einstein when he was little. He got a nebulizer every day for his breathing problems, and the only way he would sit still was when we put a Baby Einstein movie on and let him watch it. We applied this method to hair cuts, and it worked like a charm! He still gets to watch tv while his hair cut (he's 3 now). It's never failed us yet. I never let him make a habit of watching the Baby Einstein when we didn't have a purpose, but when we needed him to sit still for any reason - it was a sure fire way!

Good luck! I know not all babies respond to the movies, but it seems to work for a lot of them. What is the best way to give a Nine month old baby boy a hair cut?
I would take him on a day that you or someone else he looks up to, needs to get a haircut so that he can watch and see how normal it is. Then when it's his turn, sit down in the chair and sit him in your lap. Make sure to give him LOTS of praise and promise a surprise if he sits still. Good luck!
Do it when he is asleep.
In the bath - and make sure your fingers are between his head and the scissor blades, so even if he moves suddenly you can't cut him.
Our son had his first haircut at 9 months while he was asleep.
When my aunts cut their little kids hair...instead of setting them in a chair, they get daddy or someone to hold them...and take them to a window, so they can look outside and not move.
