How do I get an emo hair cut?

Im a 15 year olf girl with dirty blonde-ish hair. I'm going to get it cut soon but i dont know how to explain to my stylist what I want done. He's like in his 50's and I dont think he knows what I want. I want the emo hair look. Where it has short layers on top but long underneither. Can you please help me find good pictures of this online/help me explain what and how i want it?

just ask for it to be razor cut with short choppy layers and a thin layer at the bottom. and if you want your length tell him to keep most of the length
