She is 4 and every 2 months we both have our hair cut. The place I go to is good with kids and we can both get our hair cut at the same time. I also use it as back up on why we shouldn't cut our own hair, that you have to go to a special school to cut hair.
My step-sister thinks it is odd that I pay to have her hair cut but I'm not confident enough to do it myself.Is it odd that have my daughter's hair cut professionally?
every two months seems a little to often, little kids dont need to get it styled or anything so you can let it go for like 6 months to a year. i got my haircut at a barbershop until i was 12, its a lot cheaper and they can do simple cuts well, and my mother would occasionally give me a haircut herself, but it would usually be crooked and choppy, its up to you though, whats best for your family, its not that strange to get it done professionallyIs it odd that have my daughter's hair cut professionally?
Seriously, what is worse, a child with hair cut professionally or a child walking around with hair that you can tell someone tried to cut and didn't know what they are doing? Next time your sister tells you that it's ';odd'; say ';well I get my hair cut professionally so why shouldn't my daughter?';
You sound like a good mother to me, why should you have to justify yourself? I would never dream of cutting my daughter's hair because to me it's well worth the investment. And not only that, but it is something that you and your daughter can do together. I can't wait til my daughter is old enough so we can go get our nails done together, the place I get my nails done at will paint them for five dollars and my friends take their daughters and they walk out of their feeling like princesses.
I think it's quite normal for people to have their kids hair cut professionally. I bring my son in every other cut. His hair grows fast so I keep it trimmed up at home until he needs some style put back into it. My daughter's hair is her security blanket. She refuses to let anyone near it with a pair of scissors or a brush. I cut it at home as best as I can. I wish she would sit and let a professional do it without putting up a big fuss. Personally, I'd rather go to a professional than do it myself.
Nope not at all. I take my daughter to a place that specializes in kids cuts and I pay to have her hair cut. She has curly hair and if I tried to cut it, she would look silly. Curly hair acts differently.
Even more that is something you do together. You go to the salon and get made up together. If that is something you two like to do, rock on. Your step-sister is just jealous. LOL.
Not wierd at all.
I think your step sister is jealous you have money to get your hair ';did'; every other month. She prolly even more jealous that you daughter gets hers done too. Keep it up it's a good mommy-daughter bonding time. If it's something the two of you enjoy and you have the financial means, it's not hurting anyone. What does she care?
That's a good enough reason to have your child's hair cut done professionally. It makes you feel good and your child feel good couldn't have it any better. Ignore any body else that says something different. You're doing the right thing.
I would never cut my child's hair. I did not go to school for it. I would have no idea what I was doing. I get my own professionally, what makes a daughter any different? Age? That isn't very nice. You are doing just fine.
Not odd at all. My son gets his hair cut by a professional too. Kids wiggle and it is best to have the steady hand of a professional when scissors are involved.
Nope not at all. It's mommy-daughter time!!
no i am 20 and I have always had my hair done professionally.
you are not odd at all, stick with a professional who knows what shes doing.
Seriously no way I would i would attempt to do it myself. not weird at all
