What's a good hair cut for somebody with extremely knotty hair?

I dunno why, but my hair knots about.. 5 seconds after I brush it. And then it poofs or looks stringy and ugly.


I hate my hair.


What would be a good haircut that looks good messy?


Right now my hair is plain.. barely layered, barely angled, you can't tell that it is. What should I do? Any suggestions of a cut?What's a good hair cut for somebody with extremely knotty hair?
hmm cut it super short because its easier to maintain that way.
