How can I convince my mom to let me get a hair cut?

I'm a ballet dancer, and I needed my hair to grow long for a final performance last week. I go back to school monday and i really want to get it cut with bangs and layers. My mom thinks it's a bad idea because i'm so close to starting school (which is why I want to get it cut)

My mom was very strict with hair cuts. When I was younger me and my sister had to have our hair rly long because.. I dont rly know but my mom wouldn't let us cut it. So one day my older sis comes up to me and goes ';omg I want my hair cut so bad but mom won't let me'; so then I was like ';ok i'll cut it for you and she wont even notice'; and I was like in grade 6 and she was in grade 8. So I got regular scissors and i started cutting her hair and half way through it she was like omg why did we do this cuz this scissors wouldnt go through the rest of her hair. So I stopped half way and my sister was freaking out cuz half of her hair was cut on one side and the other side was her normal length. And she started crying cuz she knew we would get in so much trouble. So my mom came home and freaked out but then she had to finish cutting her hair so it worked out in the end. So in other words, don't go behind her back and get it cut. If your mom thinks its a bad idea it probably is. You'll probably regret it in the end anyway.
This is only your decision: You can tell her that you've had a little heat problem and to fix it, you want to cut your hair( in the style you want). Sorry bout the run on!!!!

Just do it. Its your hair. She can't be mad if she sees that you are happy with your new haircut. But, if you dont like the new haircut be prepared for an eternity of ';I told you so';.
Say mom if you dont let me get it cut im cutting it myself,!
Tell ur mom that this is something that u really want. Or make and agreement with her about the style ur getting cut. :)
