It depends on the 14 year old boy's skull shape, face shape, neck shape, frontal hairline, facial features and type of hair but in general a regular taper cut or one of the short pomp styles-crew cut, ivy league(long crew cut), flat top crew cut- can be adapted by a skilled barber or stylist to suit most 14 year old boy's skull shape, face shape, neck shape, frontal hairline, facial features and type of hair. These are also styles that take minimal time to groom. The short pomp styles take only a minute or two to towel dry and be ready to go after emerging from a shower, and they stay looking well groomed all day.

2) Barely dip fingertips in jar of wax.

3) Transfer wax to fingertips.

4)Smooth palms over hair.

short but not to short close you your head. about 2 inchs . I'm sure you would look nice.
razor cut it. that looks great. keep it long though =)
