How much do you usually tip at the hair salon after just a hair cut?

I'm looking for a variety of answers... people that have a regular stylist and people who are just walk-ins. What do you think is ideal?How much do you usually tip at the hair salon after just a hair cut?

Depends on the place, the service and the quality. I usually get a color %26amp; cut and I go to only one place. I usually tip 25-30% because of the length of time it takes to make me look so good...lol. If I have to go some where else and the service sucks I tip 15% out of respect for the individual whether I liked the cut or not (we all have to eat). I hope this helps you.
Standards is 20%. I've been going to the same girl for two years now though, and she's really the most amazing stylist I've ever gone to, plus I only go like every six months or so, so I usually throw her a little extra. My haircuts usually run about $40, I usually leave her between 10 and 15 bucks.
Barbers and stylist are NEVER tipped. Never, never, never. Not even if your stylist is named Scrappy Coco. They are paid by the hour... not by tips. Period. The industry goes out of it's way to promote tips.....but it totally unnecessary.
Well, I love my hairdresser and she always does a fantastic job, so for a $20 haircut, I give her 5 bucks, which I guess works out to about 20%. I've also tipped a hairdresser $7-$8... depends a lot on my mood and money situation lol

20% is often ideal, but I sometimes I give more just because it's what I have in my wallet, or I just want to. I like giving big tips because I love getting them. ;)
20% whether i'm a walkin or have a regular sylist. That shouldn't make a difference in how much you tip.
