How old does a Yorkie have to be to get it's first hair-cut?

Right now my yorkie is some months old.So how old does she have to be to get her first or cut?How old does a Yorkie have to be to get it's first hair-cut?
2 1/2 or 3 months is a good age I'm glad to hear you're starting her while she's a pup it's really good to desensitize her to grooming from an early age.How old does a Yorkie have to be to get it's first hair-cut?
Don't take a puppy under 4 months to a public place with other dogs. They should have completed their vaccinations by then. Ask the vet tech to help do quick little trims as you visit for vaccinations and nail trims to help the pup get used to it. Or have someone you trust help trim the hair carefully from near the eyes if it is getting in the way, and away from the anus if poop is getting stuck. Otherwise, for the best chance of keeping your dog healthy, wait until all the vaccines are done before you go to the groomer. Including Bordatella (canine or kennel cough are more common names).
i do mine myself. it helps because they learn to sit still better(i think) and then they can also get used to a scissors around them a lot faster since you can be more patient with them instead of making them deal with the scissors and freaking them out. another reason is because it is just SO expensive!! plus i get to decide how long i want my dogs hair to be.

another thing is that the groomer will give them multiple baths 1 before and 1 after. this just dries out their skin! i think you should bathe them, clip them, then brush them outside so all the loose hair will fall of with the wind and the brush
It depends on how long the hair grows and when you think its getting too long. Its up to you,if you have time to brush very long hair(and want to),then keep it long.Or maybe you like it short so its not picking up dirt, food, and things on the ground, its up to you.Hope this helps!

PLEASE DON'T LET YOUR DOG GET MATTED!
Get her done no later than 3 months. The sooner you start the better she'll act for it and the more she'll be used to it as she grows. We have people bring dogs in where I work fora first groom at 5 or 6 months and they're horrible because they have no idea what's going on.
I have always heard you want to wait until about three months. But you don't want to wait to long because you want her to get use to going to the groomer while she is young.
it doesnt really matter but if it has very little fur you should think about it because it might get cold mabe try 2 month old
I dont think we had our Yorkies hair cut until he was like 6 or 7 months old. He did very well his first time, and he still does good!
I see no reason to ever cut a Yorkie's hair. It is thin and easy to maintain, why would anyone want to cut it?
