after my friend sews in extensions (keep in mind they might not match my hair exactly but will be preety close) would it be weird to go get my hair and the extensions I'd have sewn in cut and colored to blend in together and take the overall color lighter and add blonde. I cant do it myself cause i want it to have natural looking highlights. so what do you think? Would a hairstylist be ok with that? and would it be weird?Can I get my hair cut and colored after my friend gives me extensions?
As a stylist there are many things to consider. Yes the extensions and your hair can be cut and blended. As for coloring, the big question is what are they made out of? If they are synthetic then no you can't color them. If they are animal hair you can color them, and if they are human hair you can color them. You can't go lighter with extentions, only darker. The fake hair won't be able to make the pigment lighter. So if you want to go lighter you should dye your real hair first then get the extentions to match.

you should do a cut with no color first.
if it doesnt look right then color.
