Should i get my hair cut at a cheap place or more expensive place?

what do you think? and how much do u usually pay for a haircut ? is $40 an ok amount or would you say its too expensive?Should i get my hair cut at a cheap place or more expensive place?
$40 is on the higher end of what I'd pay. It depends on if you are getting a haircut just because you need it, or because it is a relaxing pampering experience for you. I've gotten both cheap and expensive haircuts, and yes the more expensive (for me that's $35) did look better, but it was more that the expensive stylist took more time with me and was more gentle etc.Should i get my hair cut at a cheap place or more expensive place?
Expensive doesn't always mean good. I've gone to nice, upper class, mucho $$$ places and have gotten average hair cuts. At the same time I've gone to cheap places like great clips and for a 3rd of the amount had a haircut that looks great. Don't go by price, ask around, see if your friends/coworkers have any recommendations, if you see someone with a haircut you like, ask where they got it and by whom. Also check customer websites to see what others thought of specific stylists and locations.
I'm a hair stylist and I work in a mid class salon and we charge anywhere from $25-$40 for a woman's haircut. I wouldn't pay any more than that. When you get into those really high end salons, I think your paying for the image mostly. I use to work in a high end salon and charged a lot more than I do now. (But I moved) I guess it also depends on where you live.
$40.00 is way too high for a cut. All of use hair dressers went to school for a year. I charge $17.00 and I include a blow dry and shampoo and conditioner. I don't have to pay rent to anyone. So I can afford a disscount for my clients. You should ask your friends who cuts their hair. Just make sure to have clear communication with the stylist. Take in a photo.

when i used to get my haircut at places when i was like 6-13 i paid 12 dollars for a haircut haha but i cut it myself now:)


so yeah 40$ is an expensive haircut haha
they could mess it up at a cheap place..go expensive
