How can I get my hair cut so it's straighter?

I have lots of layers and was thinking of growing my wavy/curly hair. How can I get it cut so it's as straight as it will get?

Should it be long, short, layers, no layers, etc? Please answer in as much detail as you can.Thanks.How can I get my hair cut so it's straighter?
Lots of layers like you have at the moment will only accentuate the waviness or curliness of your hair. Basically, the longer and less-layered your hair is, the straighter it will look. I wouldn't recommend getting it cut to the length of the shortest layers, as it will just look poofy and the curliness will come out. You're probably better just to grow it out and gradually it will reach the same length as you have the longer layers trimmed.

You could try blow-drying it straight - it takes some practice, but works quite well. Some people also use electric straightening irons, but they can be quite damaging to your hair if you use them too frequently. Some hair products are also quite good at making your hair straighter - there's actually a product called ';Str8'; which is excellent - sort of a light gel, not greasy at all, you can use it on wet or dry hair.

Good Luck!

P.S. Most girls with dead-straight hair are SOOOOO jealous of those of us who've got some curl or waves...How can I get my hair cut so it's straighter?
uh.....you cut your hair with scissors
longer it gets, the straighter it will be:)

LAYERS might not look good if you have wavy hair ..

short hair will curl it up ..

TRY GETTING A STRAIGHTERNER;]
Get it thinned out a little bit. This won't actually straighten it, but it will make it easier to straighten. Leave it as long as it will go.
thin it, usually hair isn't very curly at the root so you could cut it short if you like. Bangs wouldn't be good if your hair is curly but if that's the only part that you need to straighten then that's good
If you want your hair to be straighter you should let it grow. I used to have really short hair and it used to be super curly, but i've been letting it grow and its getting straighter.

Maybe you should cut it to the shortest layer and wait for it to grow, so everything will be even and by the way, layers make your hair look wavier.
No layers and razored on the ends.... this helps it not to flip in or out.
