Okay so my friend just cut off 3 inches of her hair, HERSELF. cause shes not smart and im gonna try and fix it for her .. any tips?How can you fix a bad hair cut?

Fixing a bad haircut is a lot harder than doing it properly from scratch. I know -- I've repaired many a bad cut! It requires a lot of skill and many years experience to know what to do in such cases.





The only way to fix a bad haircut is to cut everything a lot shorter. That is not always the best thing to do, so you have to find a compromise somewhere. Every situation is going to require its own very special techniques. If you have not the experience necessary, don't attempt this.





I agree that layers are not always the best thing. They do show off mistakes --even the smallest unevenness -- so you need to really be very skilled in doing layering correctly. The only way to cover up mistakes in lengths, either growing out a cut, or hiding a bad mistake, is to have curls. You can hide many sins with curls!!





I'd advise you to go see a professional cutter. It won't cost that much to fix, and they will know how to do it with as little pain as possible. It's really worth it.
NO! Not layers... not if you've never cut hair before. If she's not going to go to a professional you need to just EVEN it out for her. Don't do anything you don't need to.
