Is a blowout/tape up/brooklyn fade hair cut always spiked up or can be worn with a messy look?

i really like this hairstyle and want to get it, but i dont want to have to spike my hair everyday. does it look good if you put wax or shaping cream in it and wear it kind of messy?

Ive had that haircut for a year now and i understand how frustrating it is to have to spike it everyday! If you want to have a messy kind of look on it just put hair gel on and mess it up because it will stay still. If you use wax it can move around and get messed up. It does look good, but it also depends on your hair kind.Is a blowout/tape up/brooklyn fade hair cut always spiked up or can be worn with a messy look?
